Marines march in grueling Afghan sun for July 4

Taliban militants were nowhere in sight as the columns of U.S. Marines walked a third straight day across southern Afghanistan. But the desert heat proved an enemy in its own right, with several troops falling victim Saturday to temperatures topping 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

My 4th of July Hero:"Helen Thomas"

I have been more or less one of the resident class-clowns here at BH. Having been been so appalled at the bizarre news coming out of Washington on a daily basis, I’ve been unable to write anything, that isn’t from a satirical viewpoint...

In NYC, biggest fireworks show in US set to begin

The Fourth of July weekend is shaping up as a celebration for Americans watching fireworks around the country—and for three elephants and a turtle....

HAPPY 4th OF JULY...!!!--A NOTE TO MY READERS

Hi ya'all....!!!Happy 4th of July...!!!
I figured we would celebrate "good" today at home, since may be it will be the last 4th of July we will celebrate ever...since our country is turning into a socialist nightmare and people seem not to know anymore--or not to remember well-- how this country was founded...you know basic historical facts, and seem to have welcomed instead this "global citizenship of the world"....
I observe people in the streets, going around,at the grocery store,at the mall and I'm concerned....I'm deeply concerned about our country.
I hope I'm wrong, but it seems that "4th of July"has lost its real meaning for many americans...
Our country is morphing rapidly into something that may be in a couple of months we wont recognize anymore...It's scary, but it's happenning...I guess it is more visible in big cities than in small towns but it is coming...slowly but surely.
So as these things are happenning all over and our liberties are being taken away from us one by one--while most americans seem to be in "Deep Slumber" or "anesthetic deadly denial"-- and as more restrictions and more taxing and more burden is placed upon the loins of the american people....we may as well celebrate,as if it were the last 4th of July we spend in liberty and freedom....
I pray that these last two liberty and freedom won't be a tale of the past that we will tell of to our children, like something of the way way back past of America....
I want to thank the Lord today for our country,my family,my home, the peace we enjoy, the food on our table and the good friends and neighbours that we are surrounded of.
Most important of all thank God for my salvation...without which,I couldn't enjoy absolutely anything, and I would have never been able to appreciate the beauty of freedom and liberty.
Let's keep living and working in America, with this in mind:"He is Sovereign and He sees the state of our nation and the state of our hearts. He knows how much some of us may be struggling to pay bills,to make ends meet.He knows about some of us that have a loved one in a far away land at war.He knows that as americans that love God,freedom and liberty,we are hurting. He Hears our Cries...."
Let's keep walking and growing closer to Him each day as "that day' approaches.
Let's ask for wisdom and strength daily from Him...
Love God,your family,your neighbour,your nation...
Do good and not evil.Do not repay evil for evil.
Pray for your enemies.
Thank God for every day, because with it in this great nation of ours--His mercies continue to be new every morning and His provision won't falter in our households. He placed us here in America for a reason...He makes NO mistakes...
Let's keep on crying out to God for our nation....He will hear....
I love you all
Have a great 4th of July--while we still can.....!!!!
God bless You
As in the days of Noah.....

Chip Reid and Helen Thomas take Robert Gibbs to task...

PS: It is evident after watching this "embarassing"(for the BHO Administration--I may add....)video,that Gibbs is a total inept and a big zero....What was he laughing about....?There was nothing laughable in what was being asked.
On the other hand I think Gibbs is a perfect"spokesman" for BHO...
Unbelievable....Never seen anything like it.....
