CHICAGO - A disbarred suburban Chicago attorney has been convicted for his involvement in a scheme that swiped four parcels of land from a South Side church.Cook County Circuit Judge Stanley Sacks today convicted Phillip Radmer of Berwyn of 8 counts of theft and two counts of forgery.Radmer had waived his right to a jury trial.He faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced November Sixth and has been held at the Cook County Jail since June 2006.Prosecutors allege Radmer stole the land belonging to the First Presbyterian Church by setting up a bogus corporation whose fictitious board of directors approved the sale of the property to likewise fictitious buyers.Authorities say Radmer walked away with about $655,000 from the sale of the church's four properties
