The chief counsel of a Christian law firm says it is becomingincreasingly apparent that there is a double standard when it comes to accommodating religious practices at public schools and universities.
USA Today recently reported that some public schools anduniversities are granting Muslims'requests for prayer times,prayer rooms,and ritual footbaths.Richard Thompson,chief counsel for the Thomas More Law Center,cites one example,Carver Elementary School in San Diego,where he says officials created an extra recess to accommodate Islamic prayers."Muslim students were allowed to go into this room, the door was locked,and a Muslim teacher led the students in prayer," says Thompson."The Supreme Court of the United States,in case after case over the last 50 years,has forbidden those kinds of activities for Christians."Ironically,the legal group filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against San Diego's Poway Unified School District in May after school officials ordered a veteran teacher of 30 years to remove from his classroom walls banners they said promoted a "Judeo-Christian" viewpoint.Carver Elementary is not in the Poway District.
Thompson says at places like the University of Michigan-Dearborn,Muslim students have also been given preferential treatment.He says it is all part of a concerted effort to force everybody else to accept their religion.According to Thompson,Muslims are interested in ultimately creating an Islamic state."They said even ten years ago, we are not here in America to be equal with other religions.We are here to make Islam dominate and have an Islamic country in this nation,"he says.The Thomas More Law Center hopes to file lawsuits in both the Carver Elementary School and University of Michigan-Dearborn cases.

PS:Muslims have got privileges that christians in this country don't have anymore...If they HAVE TO PRAY 5 TIMES A DAY and that DURING SCHOOL HOURS,I have a solution...:if you don't find any "religious"school here that fit your needs,then find another way to work your prayers around it.I know "ALLAH" is gonna be very mad at muslims that don't OBEY this,so if nothing....then consider to relocate in the Middle East....there muslims won't have to hire lawyers and get all upset and offended,and I bet you there are thousands of good "religious "schools + you won't have to deal with all the "REST OF INFIDELS"(jews,christians,bhuddists,atheists,etc,etc)that you have here in America.And also will save you the gastritis....!!!
