PHOENIX-Valleywide temperatures hit 111 degrees on Tuesday and tied an all-time summer heat record, meteorologists say.The Valley tied a record set in 2002, when residents saw 28 days of readings reaching 110 degrees or higher.During an average summer, the Valley usually records 10 days of 110 degree temperatures or hotter.On Wednesday, the mercury could also reach 110 or higher, breaking the record.heat advisory is in effect Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., meteorologists said.A high pressure system is building over the Southwest, ushering in a drying trend.
