Nevada Hospital Gunman Shot Dead by Police

HENDERSON, Nev.-A man in a hospital emergency room was fatally shot by officers after he brandished a gun and threatened suicide, police in suburban Las Vegas said.Henderson police spokesman Todd Rasmussen said officers fired multiple times after the man refused to drop the handgun and instead raised it toward police. It was not clear if the man fired his weapon, but no one else was injured early Wednesday at the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena campus. Rasmussen said a nurse supervisor called police after the man made suicidal statements and said he had a gun.
