Is There Freedom from Homosexuality?

'Love Won Out proclaims the truth that God continues to transform the lives of men and women who have same-sex desires.'
Focus on the Family's Love Won Out team is taking a message of hope to Charlotte, N.C., on Saturday. The one-day conference proclaims that freedom from same-sex attractions is possible. That was also the message of a recent ad in the Charlotte Observer placed by Love Won Out. The ad features Jeff Johnston, gender issues analyst at Focus on the Family. He left homosexuality two decades ago.“Homosexuality is not innate," he said."It’s not something people are born with, and there are people who change.“I want people to see this ad and question what they are hearing all around them. Love Won Out proclaims the truth that God continues to transform the lives of men and women who have same-sex desires.” The conference teaches Christians how to build relationships with people with whom they disagree. It emphasizes a message of love, without compromising the truth about God’s design for human sexuality.“You’ll hear the message of God’s unconditional love for everyone-no matter who they are or what they’ve done," Johnston said."You’ll also hear the message of God’s transforming power. I questioned homosexuality, and God transformed me.”Love Won Out travels to five U.S. cities every year. San Antonio will host the next conference, in April.
