Muslim Women Suing McDonald’s Over Discrimination Want $10 Million

Ten million dollars.
Because employment at McDonald’s is worth that.

I maintain, as I did in my previous post on this subject, that expecting Muslim employees to stick to the same dress code as non-Muslim employees must adhere to is hardly discrimination. If the manager made derogatory comments about these women as is claimed (but consider the source, the claim is coming from the women suing for $10 million) then he’s in the wrong.But simply denying them employment because they wouldn’t follow the long-established company dress code?The one ever other employee has to follow? That’s no discrimination.Another interesting point is: Why would these women even want to work at McDonald’s in the first place? If they’re so adamantly observant of the strictures of their religion that they can’t remove their hijabs even to comply with the company dress code what would happen if/when they were asked to prepare a sausage breakfast sandwich? A dish that contains pork?
Would they have sued over that too?
