Black Church Forum Lauds Obama Pastor

Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., presidential candidate Barack Obama's former pastor, was praised Saturday at a the State of the Black Church Summit in Dallas, Texas, for fiery statements he made that some called racist and anti-American, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Saturday."We don't love America uncritically; you don't just tell the good things," said the Rev. Frederick Haynes III, pastor of a Dallas church.(picture left) "He (Wright) has dared to unwrap the flag from around the cross, and when you do that, you give the cross the power to tell the flag which way to wave."Haynes and six panelists spoke and answered questions for three hours on topics including patriotism, voting and making the black church better understood. The audience at the summit, hosted by Fort Worth's Brite Divinity School, frequently applauded and punctuated speakers' comments with "Amen" and "That's right. "Wright was supposed to speak at the panel discussion and attend a banquet in his honor Saturday night, but he canceled because of security concerns. Part of the summit was originally scheduled to be at Texas Christian University, where Brite is located, but TCU and Brite officials agreed to move it for security reasons.
PS:Sad...seems taht a lot of black churches are iin the same rhetoric line that mr wright....bunch of deceived folks....Sad that they take a sacred pulpit to make merchandise of their country and to use foul language and all sorts of vulgar expressions....There are better choice of words....Well after all...theyll have to give account before God of every "idle" word theyve spoken and of What they make out of the house of GOD....Not all that say:"Lord.Lord....."
As in the days of Noah....
