AU, Comoros forces not in full control of Anjouan: minister

MORONI-African Union and Comoran troops are still fighting for control of the rebel island of Anjouan, where they are searching for renegade leader Mohamed Bacar, the defence minister said Tuesday.The coalition forces "are deploying on the island...but you cannot secure control of the whole island in three hours," Mohamed Bacar Dossar told AFP in Moroni, the federal capital of the Union of the Comoros.He said that federal troops from the National Development Army (AND) and the force of Sudanese and Tanzanian soldiers sent by the African Union were still encountering resistance at 1:00 pm (1000 GMT).
