Qassam rocket strikes Sderot house

Two Qassam rockets were fired Wednesday afternoon from the northern Gaza Strip towards the southern town of Sderot. One of the rockets directly hit a house in the city, causing damage. Several people suffered from shock. The rocket hit a three-story building. One of the tenants told Ynet,"The building has three floors with a tile roof. The rocket caused damage inside the house, where a newlywed couple, married about three month ago, lives."By chance they arrived at their apartment a fem minutes after the rocket fell, and were amazed to see what happened inside. It's a miracle that nothing happened to them."The second rocket is believed to have landed in the Palestinian Authority territories. Earlier Wednesday, Qassam rockets landed near a kibbutz in the Sdot Negev regional council and south of Ashkelon. There were no reports of injuries or damage in both incidents. The two later rockets were launched several hours after Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni visited Sderot along with 70 foreign diplomats, who were briefed by security officials and met with residents in the rocket-stricken communities."When Israel left Gaza we offered the Palestinians hope, but the situation in the area is a situation of terror," Livni told the diplomats."Hamas is growing stronger in Gaza. The international community supported the IDF forces' withdrawal from the Philadelphi route as well, and Hamas is taking advantage of this to build an army, which is indeed small in size but strong in its abilities inside Gaza. The decision makers in Israel and the world must address this."On Tuesday afternoon, a Qassam rocket fired from the northern Gaza Strip, landing in an open area south of Ashkelon. There were no reports of injuries or damage. Earlier that day, a rocket landed near a kibbutz in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council. There were no injuries or damage in this incident as well.
