Media sympathetic with terrorists, says former PLO member

A former Muslim terrorist who converted to Christ says some in the liberal media in America would rather wage war against him than against the terrorists he's trying to warn the world about. Walid Shoebat, a former member of the Palestine Liberation Organization, says he has plenty of documentation to prove his past affiliation with the terrorist group.Recently he and two other former terrorists were guest speakers at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. But the media-with aid from the Council on American Islamic Relations-focused on discrediting their credibility and ignored the message about the fundamentalist Islamic agenda,he contends. Shoebat believes a lot of the liberal media is taking up the terrorists' cause."It seems the media wants to fight ex-terrorists and forget about the terrorists,because the terrorists are fighting a revolutionary cause, in their opinion,"says Shoebat."They believe killing and maiming civilians is okay because they have a bone to pick with the West...So you have this whole notion in the media that terrorists are revolutionary fighters, so they need to be defended-and anybody who denounces them needs to be attacked."The former terrorist believes that much of the media fails to grasp the fact that Islamic fundamentalists truly want to impose Sharia law on the entire planet-including the liberal media itself.
