A truly free press just might print something they don’t want to see. Or rather, that they don’t want anyone else to see. Like, oh, the truth for instance:[[[Four students at Toronto’s Osgoode Hall Law School are accusing Maclean’s magazine of violating their human rights over an article titled The Future Belongs to Islam.
They’ve filed complaints with the federal, Ontario and British Columbia human rights commissions over the October 2006 article.]]]
The article discusses the high birth rate among Muslims and speculates that Islamic people could become the majority population in Europe. It also says some Muslims are violent radicals.
One of the whiners, er, complainants said that he felt “personally victimized.” They want the issue to be a criminal one:
[[[Faisal Joseph, a lawyer from the Canadian Islamic Congress who is representing the four students, argued that journalists can’t write just anything.
“You have to be responsible. There are limits on freedom of expression, people seem to forget that,” he said.]]]
Here we go with not recognizing that pesky free press thing. You’d think that a lawyer would understand those parameters, wouldn’t you?
The good news is that the publisher backs the author Mark Steyn, and some rational minds on the Muslim side back him as well:
But Sohail Raza, a representative of the Muslim Canadian Congress, said Maclean’s had the right to publish the article.

PS:Freedom of expression is a FOREIGN concept for muslims and I think it all starts in their "religion"
There is no freedom in Islam,where their followers have to strictly follow a set of rules and rituals to try to please a distant god(allah)
There is no peace or salvation or hope or joy in it.It's spiritually dead and deprived of life....ergo....Freedom of ANY KIND is NOT in their language and mindset....
No wonder many millions of muslims are questioning Islam and are seeking for the TRUTH.....
