Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has given a green light for the transfer of 25 armored vehicles to the Palestinian Authority for its new security force, despite a petition by the Tikvah party to the High Court of Justice to block the move. Olmert made the decision after consulting with Defense Minister Ehud Barak and security officials.The State Attorney's Office (SAO) said Tuesday that the Prime Minister was not required to obtain cabinet or Knesset approval for his decision to give the armored vehicles to the PA."Since the Prime Minister's decision was a political one and pertains to the continuous management of the government as part of its relationship with the Palestinian Authority, there is no legal obligation to bring the issue up for discussion in the Knesset," said the SAO.As in the days of Noah....
