Maputo-Recent reported cases of cholera in Mozambique-which resulted in the death of eight people country wide-are reported to be under control, say reports.Antonio Paulino, the director of health services in the capital, Maputo, was quoted by the daily Noticias as saying there was a relative decline in the cases of cholera reported in the city's heavily populated neighbourhoods. He attributed the decline to the intensified campaigns carried out by the ministry."This resulted in a positive response and we hope that the situation will greatly improve in the next few days," said reports.For the past two months, cases of cholera were reported in the country with most of the cases in the central province of Zambezia and in Maputo.
