ICE STORM and POWER DOWN

Dear friends and visitors:
As you have probably noticed,there hasn't been any new posts in some two days or so,it's that we're having one of the worst ice storms in these last years and even cellphones won't work.
I just happened to find a KINKO's open and with electricity that we can get into and of course there's lots of people like me trying to connect to the outside world...!!!!hahahhaha
I pray that things can get better tomorrow.
We only have tree damage in our backyard,we can still go thru our street,but it pretty much looks like a war zone.
Some towns literally look like if they've been hit by a tornado or like if a bomb went off.
They are telling us that it will take at least 7 to 10 days to restore power in most places.
Of course customers have been calling since yesterday,but we cannot service them because of so many trees down and power lines down which make it so dangerous..
Hotels are booked up for a couple of days and many churches are opened to the public and have turned into massive shelters.
Our main international airport is shut down cause of power and ice and you can picture how people stranded is staying there in improvised beds and etc,etc.
LOWE'S was so full of desperate people that it looked like a swarm of bees going from one place to the other of the store.
People was literally fighting for items,like heaters,anything that was propane and batteries,even gas logs....you name it....
We had to assist some non english speaking customers that were grabbing what they could but couldn't understand how things worked.
We starting even receiving calls from friends asking as for firewood....
One water plant in a town near by was shut down,so that entire city has no water,or power at all.
Hospitals were 'redirecting " patients to other places as they were running everything on generators that were faulty and there was major damage to oxygen tanks.....
Thanks God,Im not on call....!!!!I wouldn't mind to do surgery under flashlights,but....it ALWAYS gets complicated....
So this is the state of things out here in America.There are no soon signs of slowing down of rain or weather patterns...
All this pandemonium,made us wonder at home,IS AMERICA REALLY READY FOR A CATASTROPHE....?IS AMERICA READY FOR THE UNPREDICTABLE...????
I don't think so at all....
I was pondering as I was walking down the aisles at LOWE'S and watching at people....PEOPLE IS NOT READY....
You may know what the Bible says about His Coming.....It's gonna be "in the twinkling of an eye"....People are gonna be minding their own bussinesses and he will come for His Church....

Friends...we have to make ourselves READY at ALL TIMES....Ready for whatever lies ahead,as a nation,as society,as community....We cannot give us the LUXURY of being caught OFF GUARD....

After 9/11 we elaborated a plan as a family in case of an emergency.
Many of our family members laugh at us and think we are ALARMISTS or freaks...but let me tell you...It pays off,when our house is still running as usual,even tough electricity or water may not be there.....

We HAVE TO BE READY AT ALL TIMES,to meet the LORD....
We DON'T KNOW THE DAY or THE HOUR.....that He is coming for us....
LEt's be wise and GET READY,and BE therefore READY....!!!!
