U.N. chief 'shocked' by blasts in Pakistan's Karachi

NEW YORK-U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was "shocked" to hear that the convoy of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who arrived in Karachi a few hours ago, was attacked by two road side bombs reportedly killing more than 100 people and injuring many more, a spokesperson for the U.N chief said in a statement Thursday."The Secretary-General strongly condemns this terrorist attack and expresses condolences to the families of the victims," the statement said. "He trusts that all political forces will act together to strengthen national unity."
