Lebanon rounds up and charges more than 330 people with terrorism and Fatah Islam membership in recent weeks

Friday, 20 suspects - 16 Palestinians and four Russians - accused of belonging to Fatah Islam whose revolt in the north the Lebanese army crushed Sept. 2 after four months. The Russians were the first non-Arabs charged with belonging to the group. The first 30 were detained two months ago in and around the southern city of Sidon plotting to blow up the main police headquarters in Beirut with an explosives vehicle and attack Arab and European ambassadors.
