DANBURY, Conn. CBS 2 HD has learned a man in Danbury, Conn. has been confirmed to contract anthrax poisoning, apparently from the handling of African drums.The FBI was called to the man's house to investigate and have blocked off surrounding roads. They do not suspect terrorism was involved.Officials say the man contracted cutaneous anthrax poisoning after apparently handling or playing the drums.Cutaneous anthrax is not contagious and can usually be treated with antibiotics.A similar case happened last year when a Manhattan man contracted anthrax poisoning from handling African drums made with goat skin.Humans can get anthrax from handling contaminated animal skins, however such cases are rare in the United States.Stay with wcbstv.com and CBS 2 HD for the latest on this developing story.As in the days of Noah...
