Papua New Guinea- Wycliffe Associates needs your help.Bible translators work hard in remote, sometimes dangerous, areas. Their work takes between 15 and 20 years to complete, and they usually work in isolated conditions. But first, they must learn the language! The most valuable tool to them is the airplane. However, with rising "avgas" or aviation fuel prices, the use of Cessna 206s is threatened. Prices of avgas can be up to $14 per gallon. However, other planes are usually luxury equipped, making them heavy, and they are no longer making Cessnas that are utility oriented. The most practical thing for Wycliffe to do now is pay for the gas. The scary part is that the only producer of the fuel may soon stop production since many other aircraft have begun using alternate fuels. The solution? The new KODIAK plane will be available in a few months. It is specifically designed for the rigors of mission aviation and uses much cheaper and more available jet fuel.Quest Aircraft is making a special offer. Every tenth plane sold will be given to mission organizations for a reduced price of $880,000. Wycliffe Associates needs your help to raise this money so the work of translators can be done faster and cost less. The offer will be extended for a limited time, so quick work is necessary. Wycliffe would like to take advantage of this God-given opportunity. You can donate at their Web site.Source:MNN
PS:I'm kinda tired of receiving emails or letters asking for money for the new"so needed" jet for Benny Hinn Ministries....to be honest with you I don't know what is wrong with the jet they already have....I'd rather give to a ministry like Wycliffe to acquire a "really needed" tool to spread the Gospel, than for a mega ministry that just WANTS MORE.....I always wondered, why they don't just travel in a regular plane like everybody else...?So far for being sober.....If I'm wrong ,God will deal with me....If I'm right, many are gonna be able to hear about Jesus by mine or yours giving.....
As in the days of Noah....
