If anyone should, by title alone, be considered the voice of the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy we commonly refer to as the European Union, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana should be that voice. What he has had to say in recent days, as such, is of great interest to those of us monitoring the news of our world today for evidence that we are advancing toward prophetic fulfillment on a number of fronts.Solana on a new international orderIn an article featured on Solana's website, he makes a number of very interesting points that I want all those who believe that a new world order is coming over which the prophesied Antichrist will someday reign supreme to make note of. All of the following are excerpts taken directly from that article (emphasis on key words and phrases mine):*Few today would dispute that in a global, interdependent world, solutions to problems will have to be forged at a global level.
*Therefore, one key task for Europe for the next 50 years is to protect and develop a system of strong institutions able to tackle the problems of a new age; and to build a rules-based international order with the rules that will help us navigate the choppy waters ahead.
*We will have to do so at when the world is moving to a system of continents. (Note from Mike: Anyone think this lends credence to why many believe a North American Union is in the works?)
*Take the G-8. At present it does not really work effectively. To become more effective, it needs to become more representative and that means changing its membership.Why not make it a G-10 in which the ten major countries are represented based on a composite index of international weight (GDP, aid, soldiers and civilians deployed on peace support missions)? This would not only bring China and India in but also keep some current members on their toes. (Note from Mike: Some have suggested that Daniel's ten 'horns' which will give their authority to the 'little horn' - the Antichrist - may come from a globe cordoned off into ten regions. I don't necessarily think that will be the case but I find the possibility of a G-10 playing a prominent role in a "rules-based international order" intriguing nonetheless. Something for us to keep in mind as a possibility certainly.)
*In short, to organise our globalised world, we need to share power (with new players); re-think power (beyond the state paradigm) and tame power (extend the rule of law internationally).
*The system of global governance needs to be made more effective. It also needs to be more legitimate. One big problem is that we all know that we live in a globalized world. But our politics remain local or national. This is a problem for those, like me, who are convinced that the world needs more global-level, multilateral co-operation.
*As new powers emerge and new issues call for our engagement, Europe will have to apply itself to the task of promoting the emergence of an new international order.
Yes, Christians, the new world order the Antichrist will someday take the helm of is being planned, hidden in plain sight right beneath our rarely-suspecting noses!
Solana on Middle East peace
An EUBusiness.com article states that EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana is calling for more substance in Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, this coming as an international peace conference scheduled for November continues to draw closer.
Solana is quoted in the article as making the following remarks:
*"We have to go beyond the mere stating of the issues and try to put some more meat on every issue."
*"Water, borders, security, Jerusalem, refugees -- those are the fundamental issues that have to be resolved at the end of the day. We can not afford a failure. Without any doubt, it would be going back several years. We cannot afford that to happen."
Conclusions
As I stated at the outset, Javier Solana, by virtue of the office he holds alone, is the voice of the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy. Therefore, everything he has stated in the two examples shared in this commentary are quite noteworthy.Javier Solana believes the European Union needs to do everything within its power to make global governance more effective. He also believes that now is the time when the world can not afford to fail in its efforts to secure Middle East peace.From my perspective, in light of all the other issues present in the world around us pointing toward the Rapture of the Church potentially coming soon, it doesn't surprise me in the least to see two objectives of great significance to the Second Coming of our Lord to the earth - Middle East peace and global government - being top priorities for the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy.How about you?
