Christians throughout San Antonio are expected to show up at tonight's City Council meeting to protest the recent appearance by that city's police chief in a homosexual pride parade.On July 2, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus served as grand marshal of the city's"Gay Pride Parade,"which was held to mark the end of Gay Pride Month in the Alamo City.Chief McManus has spearheaded efforts to reach out to the city's homosexual population.Tonight marks the first meeting of San Antonio's City Council since its summer recess,and Christians are being encouraged to show up and speak out. The protest is being organized by Adam McManus (no relation to the police chief),who hosts the weekday program "Take a Stand" on KSLR Radio in San Antonio.McManus says while the protest might not impact the chief's job,it is important for believers to show up."God calls Christians to be faithful,faithful to the plumb line of scripture,"McManus urges."Scripture could not be more clear:homosexual behavior is described as an abomination.Homosexuals need Jesus as much as any other sinners,but they certainly don't need city approval of their death style and of their sin."The radio talk-show host says San Antonio's top law enforcement officer should not have served as grand marshal of the parade."I have no problem with the police chief being at the parade if his role was to arrest people for indecent exposure,which apparently goes on with great frequency at these homosexual pride parade events,"he observes."But he should never have accepted the invitation to serve as grand marshal endorsing a behavior that is unnatural, unhealthy,and immoral."According to the San Antonio Express-News,Chief McManus attended meetings of a homosexual political action committee and took his wife to homosexual nightclubs to familiarize himself with the community.Reports also indicate the police chief plans to launch an outreach program to recruit more homosexuals to serve as police officers.http://www.onenewsnow.com/2007/08/police_chiefs_role_in_gay_prid.php
PS:May be Chief McManus did all these things,cause he is gay or bisexual or just likes the"homosexual lifestyle".It's very common that gay men that want to "fit" in society.sometimes get married,have children while still leading a double life where during the day they "play" heterosexuals",the rest of the day they engage in racy behaviours,including:cruising,drugs,and all sorts of perversion to just satisfy their lust.It wouldn't surprise me at all.We even had "pastors"
recently,being publicly exposed for their double lifestyle...Sin is sin...And that could be a possibility.The human heart is wicked....That's why we need a Saviour!!
