HATE CRIMES BILL WATCH:Pastors attack Cohen on bill

WASHINGTON-A group of Memphis pastors is encouraging people to call and write the offices of U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., and other supporters of a hate crimes bill they believe restricts their right to preach against homosexuality.
The bill,which has already passed the House,provides federal assistance to local law enforcement to prosecute hate crimes.It is expected to come up for a Senate vote this week."It's a very hot potato,"said the Rev. Chester Berryhill of the New Philadelphia Baptist Church near Poplar and Mendenhall."This thing is bigger than the issue of abortion or anything else that's ever come up...You've got both sides on the abortion issue,but on this issue,it's really stirring up the ministers I've been talking to,black and white."The Rev. LaSimba Gray of the New Sardis Baptist Church on East Holmes said he is a part of the Cohen letter-writing campaign and referred a caller to the Web site for Memphis City Churches (mphscc.org).There, sample letters asking Cohen to reconsider his vote are provided.One reads in part: "This bill could quite possibly limit my right to share my faith on the subject of homosexuality."The Web site advises callers to Cohen's office to "expect to be told that you have been misinformed."

PS:This Bill is AIMED to LIMIT CHRISTIAN SPEECH.Period.It's part of a more global agenda than the gay agenda only.It's a first big step towards LEGAL CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION in America.People that hate God and want to have God and any of His influence as far removed as possible from their lives,are growing day by day...The reality is that as we are undoubtedly headed to the END of TIMES,the raise of this spirit of ANTICHRIST and its effects can be seen as invading and permeating in almost ALL ASPECTS of regular life,already.
The TRUTH is that the proclaiming of the TRUTH ALWAYS PRODUCE AN EFFECT and ,since the Word of God is powerful,as it is written,produces conviction of sin in the sinner,and as a thorn,pokes in the conciousness and minds and hearts of people,calling them to make a decision about their lives and souls.Many DONT WANT TO HEAR THIS,cause they dont want to change their lives.They have embraced sin openly and don't want to depart from it.ANd therefore ANY mention of GOD,is a reminder of their sinful condition,which they hate.They just dont want ANYBODY to tell them what is right and wrong according to the Word of God.That's alright.That's our God's given free will to choose our eternal destination.Hopefully they will reconsider the woes of a Loving God and repent and depart from their sin,before it's too late.After death in this life there is only two places to go:Heaven or Hell,according to the Bible.I pray that millions will choose LIFE today wherever they are...
