Money may be on the side of homosexual activist Tim Gill, but so far public opinion is not.Despite pumping $3.8 million into an effort to defeat the 2006 state marriage amendments, the Gill Action Fund succeeded in outspending the opposition, but not outmaneuvering it.With the exception of Arizona,Americans voted to uphold traditional marriage in every state that considered it. Although he had little success on marriage,Gill and company did play a significant role in the local campaigns of 2006,helping to elect homosexual sympathizers in statehouses across the country. In Colorado, where Gill's contributions helped shift control of the state to liberal Democrats, lawmakers have been able to pass a bill allowing for two unmarried people to adopt.A new feature on Gill in the Denver Post today indicates that last year's spending was just the beginning. His team is already ramping up for 2008 and may well exceed the high-water mark it set last year."We didn't expect to win..."Gill said."It's an incremental conversation."And that's exactly what pro-family activists should be afraid of.We cannot rely on our previous success to win this debate. Our wallets must be just as committed to the fight as our wills. As Matthew 6:21 reminds us, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."I urge you and your family to discuss where your treasure is and how it can be used to further the defense of the divine institution of marriage in this vital debate. As in the days of Noah...
