An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.3 that struck about 1 mile southeast of Aromas was reported at 12:58 p.m. Monday, a U.S. Geological Survey dispatcher said.The epicenter of the quake was located at 36 degrees 52.9 minutes north latitude and 121 degrees 37.3 minutes west longitude.There were no reported injuries, but there is a small chance of minor damage, the dispatcher said.Another earthquake occurred at 12:10 p.m. with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 about 6 miles northwest of Petrolia.The epicenter of the quake was located at 40 degrees 23.6 minutes north latitude and 124 degrees 20.5 minutes west longitude.No injuries were reported, and no damaged is believed to have been caused, a dispatcher said.
