"People sometimes will get a little angry and ask 'Why are you guys here?'she shares."But other times, people will stop and want to talk with us."Jordan explains that she usually carries with her both the King James Version of the Bible"because it's the only one they'll use"and the Book of Mormon."I just kind of ask them if they have a minute to talk, and ask them how they get to the highest level of their heaven, how they will be in God's presence when they die,and we start talking about salvation and what it is."Jordan says a conversation with devout Mormons will show that their beliefs do not line up with biblical Christianity. For example, she says witnessing encounters revealed that most Mormons believe in a works-based salvation."For them, they'll say it's grace, and that when Jesus died he gave me grace,so now I can work my way to heaven by doing these simple ordinances,by being baptized, things like that,"says the young Christian woman."So if you really get down to it and ask them these questions ... they'll have to admit,'Yes, I guess it is.I do have to do these things ... to be in heaven.'Jordan said many of those they talked with in Salt Lake City were arrogant and mean-spirited.
