Indonesia fears at least 32 killed in landslides+

JAKARTA-At least 32 people are feared dead after landslides hit several villages in central Indonesia following days of torrential rains, a government official said Monday."So far,rescuers have discovered seven bodies,of 32 people who went missing,"Rustam Pakaya,head of the Crisis Management Center of the Health Ministry,told Kyodo News.According to Pakaya,the landslides hit several villages in Morowali Regency in Central Sulawesi, about 1,750 kilometers northeast of Jakarta,on Sunday evening.Deforestation has been blamed for floods and landslides in Indonesia during the rainy season,which usually starts in October and ends in April.
