ALIYAH WATCH:First of Seven NBN Flights, 220 New Immigrants Arrive

The first of seven Nefesh B’Nefesh flights, bringing hundreds of new North American immigrants to Israel, touched down Tuesday morning at Ben Gurion Airport.In what is expected to be a record season for the Jerusalem-based, U.S.-born organization, the first charter flight flew in with 220 new immigrants, including an 11-month-old baby, three rabbis and an 86-year-old Israeli-to-be.
Over the course of the summer, more than 2,200 North American and British Jews are expected to arrive in the Jewish State through NBN, on seven specially-chartered planes and eight other Aliyah group flights.
