The first of seven Nefesh B’Nefesh flights, bringing hundreds of new North American immigrants to Israel, touched down Tuesday morning at Ben Gurion Airport.In what is expected to be a record season for the Jerusalem-based, U.S.-born organization, the first charter flight flew in with 220 new immigrants, including an 11-month-old baby, three rabbis and an 86-year-old Israeli-to-be.Over the course of the summer, more than 2,200 North American and British Jews are expected to arrive in the Jewish State through NBN, on seven specially-chartered planes and eight other Aliyah group flights.
